Delete your Assorta account

Last updated: August 14, 2026

This page explains how to delete your Assorta account and the data that goes with it, and what happens to anything that is kept. It applies to the Assorta app on Android and iOS.

In short: open Settings → Delete account in the app. Your account, your saved notes on that device, and the purchase record tied to that account are removed; a subscription bought without an account can stay behind, under an anonymous identifier. Deleting the account does not cancel a paid subscription - cancel that in Google Play or the App Store.

1. Delete it in the app

This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately.

Guest users have no account to delete. If you never signed in, removing the app removes everything you saved on that device - except a subscription bought without an account, which stays with RevenueCat under an anonymous identifier (see what is kept).

2. Ask us to delete it

If you have already removed the app, cannot sign in, or would simply rather we did it, email us at from the address your account uses, with the subject Delete my account.

We use the sending address to identify the account, so please write from that address. We confirm by email once it is done, normally within 30 days of the request.

3. What is deleted

Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no grace period and no way for us to restore an account afterwards, so export anything you want to keep before you start.

Assorta stores your notes on each device rather than on our servers. Deleting your account removes them from the device you do it on. If you used Assorta on another phone or tablet, delete the notes there too, or remove the app from that device.

4. What is kept

5. Your subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription. Assorta Pro is billed by Google Play or the App Store, not by us, and only you can cancel it. If you delete the account without cancelling, the store keeps charging you.

Cancel the subscription first, then delete the account.

6. Deleting only some data

You do not have to delete the account to delete what you saved. Any note can be removed on its own: open the group, tap the actions button on the note and choose Delete. Doing that for every note clears your content while the account stays.

For anything you cannot remove yourself - diagnostics, for instance - email us and say which data you mean.
